Parish Council Managed Facilities
Churt Parish Council manages and maintains several facilities for the use of all village residents and visitors.
Central to village life is the Recreation Ground which was acquired by the people of the village after the end of the Great War as a memorial to commemorate Churt men who had lost their lives in the conflict. Today, it is a busy sportsground for all ages and houses a popular and adventurous children's playground and a pavilion which hosts the cricket, football and tennis clubs and Churt Heritage Society as well as being the Parish Council HQ. Churt Pavilion is available to rent for private meetings or parties. The Recreation Ground is also the site of the popular annual Churt Village Fete, St John's School Fun Runs and much more.
Redhearn Green, in front of St John's Church is a village green which has seen many a village barbecue, outdoor carol singing and Remembrance Day wreath laying services at the Churt War Memorial. It also serves as a car park for St John's Church and an overflow car park for the Recreation Ground.
Head north along the A287 towards Farnham, turn left on Pond Lane just before Frensham Great Pond and you will find Wicket Wood on your left hand side, 12 acres of woodland owned and managed by the Parish Council for the quiet enjoyment of people and wildlife alike.
