Children's Playground
The children’s playground on the Recreation Ground is very popular, with fun equipment catering for children up to 15 years of age. We ask that a responsible adult should supervise children at all times. It was extensively refurbished in 2015 with funding from the Churt Welfare Trust, the National Lottery, Mrs Vera Leigh’s Charity and private individuals, together with Churt Parish Council.
In July 2024 the tyre swing was replaced and the new one is proving very popular.
To ensure that it is a safe place to play, parish councillors conduct weekly safety checks on a rota basis, checking the playground equipment and manhole covers around the Recreation Ground for safety. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) carry out an annual safety check of the playground equipment:
